The brick army.

Edward was sudden waken up by a loud noise of the clock. He turned his face around and grabbed his black, thin glasses, then put it on his wide blue eyes. The clock continued ringing two more times then stopped. Edward get out of his little bed made from wood, put on his clothes and ready to do the Time and Time Newspaper where his job started just 1 week ago.
The cloud was blue and the weather was wonderful. He unlocked his small black car at the back of his house. The engine had a big loud noise and made us feel uncomfortable when turned it on. But Edward must use it because his pocket was empty and the nearest department of New York Time Newspaper is 3 kilometers from his house.
He drove along the wide street. After10 minutes, Edward arrived his office. The swing door opened and he steps in. There came the voice,”Hey, Edward, how are you?” I turned to one side. A girl was coming toward him. She got the wide black eyes and a long yellow hair.
“I am fine, what a surprised, you worked here?” Edward replied in surprised. He met the girl yesterday morning at the small coffee. They know each other because of the girl. Her name is Dorothy and she was very friendly. Dorothy started the conversation first. Edward wished that he can meet her again, even just one more time, and now it went true. He was very happy.
“Yes,” The girl replied,” You are working here too. What a surprised.”
Then, a voice interrupt the conversation,”Edward, came here and Dorothy too.”
I hurried to Mr. Lester’s room, a boss of the department and he is going to become director of the Times and Times. But every member of the New York Time will vote on the next Monday morning. So now Mr. Lester was still the boss of this department.
He said in the same cold voice he said to me on the first day I came here,” I have a job for you two, I am sure that you know about the small group of gangster. They are very popular now by the entire bad thing they did but no rule could lead them to the jail because they were so smart and clever. When they steal thing or kill somebody, no tracks left. Some information I knew that their boss is Jordan-the billionaire and his friend Mort-a Chinese. Mort is going to open the door…Do you know a famous Chinese king, before he died he made a big room underground that containing a large amount of brick people. He thought that when he died those brick people will protect him in the afterlife. Mort is going to control those brick people…”
Dorothy interrupt the story,” That is impossible. How can he control those brick men?”
Edward thought Dorothy was right. He didn’t believe in ghosts and Gods.
“Stop interrupting and wait for me finished the story,”Mr.Lester continued in the same cold voice, then continued,” In a legend, a Golden Stick can control the brick army underground, that’s now kept by a man called Tang. Mort and Jordan are trying to take the Golden Stick from Tang. They did the entire thing they could but Tang doesn’t want to give them. Your job is to determine more about that.”
Edward and Dorothy said at the same time,” Yes sir.”
“By the way you two will do that job with Norman. He is still on the holiday, but I talked to him already. Tomorrow, the work will start.One more thing,just our newspaper knew about this information,so do that secretly. Clear?”
They said at the same time,” Yes, sir.”

About 4: oo pomp, Edward hurried to Dorothy to discuss the job and the man name Norman. He saw her arranging things, ready to go home.
“Dorothy,” Edward asked,” Do you know the man name Norman?”
“No, I don’t know much about him but I heard my friend said that he is an old man and very strange,” She smiled,” I think that is the normal thing. When you grew older and older, you will have the strange habit.”
“I think so,” I said,” Do you want to have the dinner with me. Today, my friend-Tyler has a wedding a Sea food restaurant. Want to go”
“Sure,”

Edward hurried home.Then,put on a most beatiful and expensive shirt.Then,unlocked his car’s door and turned on the noisy engine,drive to the restaurant.He stopped and parked at the underground garage.Edward went up and saw that Dorothy was there,in the beatiful,pink dress.She had changed her yellow hair into two bunches.It was so beatiful that made Edward stood there,can not move.
Dorothy moved closer to him,her hands wave in front of his eyes,What-at happened to you?”
Edward sudden woke up,”Hey,hey,what are ou doing,why didn’t you come in.”
Dorothy had a small smile and came in.A voice came behind,”Sir,do you want some drink?”
Edward answered,”Thank you.”and reached the cup of orange juice on the servent’s tray.He went around of the room to talk with other guests.Then,Edward sat down at the table next to the Tyler’s table.
About 8:oo p.m,everybody had finished eating.Edward and Dorothy stood up and went outside.
“Can I drive you home.”Edward asked.
“Thank you but my father said that todayhe will drive me home.”
Edward felt so disappointeded.But he tried to control his feeling,then he said,”So,good night and ready for tomorrow work.I seem a very hard work.”
She had a smile and said,”Good night.”A white car arrived,Dorothy came in.
Edward went to the garage,find his car,then drive home.

5:00 a.m the next morning, Edward was awaken by the same clock but not same time. Because he must do a special work, so he must wake up earlier than usual. He put on a shirt and then, drove to New York Times Newspaper’s department. He saw a grey car in front of the building. He parked his car next to the grey one, then come in.
The door automatically opened.Mr.Lester was standing there,talking with an old man but still look very strong.Mr.Lester sudden realize Edward coming in
He said,”Ed,come here.”
Edward wasn’t surprised when he heard Mr.Lester called him ”Ed”,because Mr.Lester was very,very famous about shorten people name,every member in the New York Time Newspaper knew that.
“He is Norman,he will work with you in the Golden Stick case,”
“Nice to meet you,Edward,”Norman said in the very attractive voice,”I heard a lot about you,but I still don’t know why Mr.Lester can let a ner man do that important job.”
I smiled,”Nice to meet you.”
“Doroth said that she will come here five more minutes,”Mr.Lester said then continued talking with Norman like old friends meet the other after a long time.Edward observed Normam carefully while waiting for Dorothy to know how is the old man change when they grew older and stranger.He had thought that he was a normal person like me.A little short white hair at the back of is head and nothing in front of that.His head was round.He had long,white eyebrow.It often moved up a little when he heard some thing surprise him.He was wearing a small,white shirt which was fit with his fat shape.
There came a small sound of footsteps behind me,I turned and saw Dorothy coming.She was wearing a black shirt.
“She is Dorothy,you three will worked together,”Mr.Lester said to Norman.
“Doroth,come here…”
“That is Norman you three will start your job 3 more minutes.At this time,try to know more about each other,I had some works to do,”Mr.Lester hurried to his office.
Dorothy,Edward and Norman stood there,and silence.
Norman sudden said,”What a boring time! Say something!”
Edward Immediaely knew that Norman can not live without talking,so he thought something to say,don’t let the man died before the work start.
Edward said,”So,when did you start work.”
“Me?..Let’s me count 1,2…About 10 years, 10 months, 10 days,”
“What do you think about our job that we are going to do,”
“I think it will be a most wonderful job I have in my life,control an ary that is made from brick?”
There came a voice,”Hey,that is enough time,go and asked Mr.Tang.”
Edward went slowly outside because he is afraid,Norman was a talkative amn,he will make fun on his car.
Edward turned on his car engine.There sudden came a loud noise.He checked again his car,the voice was much bigger than usual.He immediately knew where the sound came from as he turned to one side.That was Norman’s car ‘s noise.Norman possess a car that have the sound much much louder than Edward’s car.Edward sudden felt more comefortable although he must hear Norman’s car ‘s sound.
A pink car drove out from the nderground garage.That was Dorothy’s car.That had a sound less noise than his and his,but still very noisy.Edward thought other people think reporter very rich but they three was so miserable.

Mr.Tang ‘s house was not so far.we arrived after 5 minutes.They walked in.The house ws not so big,but he had a small garden with some chickens eating paddies on the ground and some fishes in a small tank.Some body ran out,each one had a weapon.
One of them said,”we won’t sell that stick.”
Dorothy said,”I think we have some problems here.We didn’t know each other before.”
“No problems here,just beat you up.”
Then all of them jumped to them and used their stick thrash them.They used their hand to keep the strange enemy’s stick,they don’t want to hurt them.
“We are reporters,we don’t want to hurt you,”Dorothy cried out loudly.These stranger sudden stopped attacking us.
One of them said,”What? You are reporters?”
Edward said,”Yes,we are.We come here to find more information about Golden Stick”
“We’re sorry,we thought you were from Mort and Jordan.”
“Jack.”A voice came from nowhere.Then,an old man appeared from the house,next to him was a girl in a red dress.
“Grand,they are reporters,”A man name Jack said.
An old man sudden angry.But he controlled his feeling,make it calm again.
He face the to Normam,then to Dorothy than to Edward.
“How can you know about the Golden Stick.’asked an old man.
“Mr.Lester told us.”Norman said
“OK,just come in.”
Everybody went inside the house.In the middle was a big,old table with 5 chairs surround it.he house was very neat.
“Mr.Lester was my old friend.I had told him the day before yesterday about the Golden Stick.I told him because anything about Golden Stick are true and that also can control the brick army.Mort and Jordan wanted that very much,I had told the police to protect us because Mort had threatened us that if we don’t give them the stick they will do a lot terrible things,but the police don’t believe me.So,I want my friend to make it public and the government will believe me.”An old man said.
“So,what can I do?”asked Edward.
“I want the tomorrow morning newspaper will talk about that.”
“OK,can I asked you some questions?”
“Go ahead,”
“How could you get the Golden Stick?”
“The Golden Stick was passed in my ancestry.”
“Why did you live China to US?”
“Once when the information that he Golden Stick can control the brick army.My neighbor tried to buy it from me.I must leave my contry to US.And my neighbor is Mort.He chased me from China to here.”
“Do you know how is that Golden Stick made up and who had made it?”
“No,I don’t know.My father didn’t told me that.”
“Do you know how to destroy that Golden Stick?”
“You can break it.Its name is Golden but it is very soft.”
“Why don’t you destroy that?”
“I also thought about that once,but It is from my ancestry.I feel very sad when I break it.”
“OK,thank you,it is enough.”
Then,Edward,Dorothy and Norman went back to the department.We divided the questions and answers into three part to write.
About 3:oo p.m,they finished writing and gave to Mr.Lester to checked then print it.
Edward had planned to spent his night to think how can he help those poor man.But he decided to sleep after a minute thinking.

The next morning,Edward woke up and drove to his work.
He parked his car in the underground garage for safe because he planned that he will stay at his office for along time.
About 1:00 clock,Mr.Lester assemble all the member in the department.
He said,”Today is your last day..”
Every body sudden become noisy.
“Mr.Jordan had bought all the Time and Time Newspaper.Today,our newspaper can not sell because he bought all of that…”
Every body became noisy again.
Mr.Lester beat at the table several times and said,”I need a perfect silence,”
He continued,”3:oo p.m,come to my office and I will give you the salary which you shoud have.Now,every body,go back to your work.”
Everybody went back to their work.Edward ran to Mr.Lester to ask how can he sell the Time and Time Newspaper to such a bad man like Jordan.
“Mr.Lester,Mr.Lester,wait,”
“What?”
“Why did you sell the Time and Time Newspaper to Jordan and a very important article?”
“Wait a minute,the one who sold that was Mr.Jake not me.He is the director of Time and Time Newspaper.Of coarse he could sell it to other people.I am just the boss of his department,but I still under control of Jake.May be,Jordan had gave him want to buy this with he price that much higher han it actually is.”
“But,the article will give us a lot of money,”
“I see.But the one who made that Newspaper is Mr.Jake’s father.Mr.Jake with his father didn’t like each oher very much,so Jake doesn’t love his Newspaper as his father.Mr.Jake have his own job beside the director.He didn’t read any of our newspaper and he didn’t know that we get the information that made him rich,”
“I must talk to him,”
“You can not,he died yesterday evening.”
“What? How can he die?”
“The police said that he is poisoned.”
“So what can I do?”
“Go back to your work,3:00,come and see me to take your salary.”
Edward went slowly to work.Although he had just worked there for 2 weeks but he felt so sad to leave here.Because here had let him do his job-the reporter.He had gave his applications to 6 other places but only here he was success.
About 3:00 p.m,Edward didn’t forget to come to Mr.Lester’s room for his salary.After that,he went to Mr.Tang’s house.Jordan bought all the Time and Time Newspaper and the article just because he didn’t want to make the information about Golden Stick become public.But he couldn’t believe that Jordan was such a mean man.He killed Jake just after he agreed to sell the Time and Time Newspaper,don’t let him change his mind.
When he arrived at the house.He can not realize Mr.Tang ‘s house.How neat the first time he came here,how dirty the second time is.He sudden heard the sound of crying from inside the house.He hurried in.All the furniture had been smashed.A little girl sitting on the floor crying.
Edward realized that the girl who came out of the house with Mr.Tang.
He asked,”What happened?”
The girls moved her head up a little and said,”Mort had came here to take the Golden Stick.All of my husband’s brother had died to protect he Golden Stick,accept himself and the oldest brother-Jack.”
“Where is Mr.Tang?”
The girl sudden cry much louder.She pointed to the room and said,” He is dead because of the heart failure.”
“So,where is your husband and Jack.They chased Mort.Mort and are going to a moutain to control the brick army,”
“How? The brick army are in China.”
“You could control the brick army anywhere,if you stand on the top of mountain and picked up the ..”
The girls haven’t finished,Edward hurried outside,turned on the engine the drove to the nearest mountain.
After 20 minutes,Edward arrived.Then,he drove his car to the top of mountain.He was so difficult to drive in the group of tree.The cloud was sudden dark,Edward remembered his sing on the movie,it always tell a bad thing happening.The cloud sudden retrned to its own color.
After 10 minutes,Edward was on the top of mountain.The cloud went dark again.He saw Two lines of people.The first line was about 4 men stood there.The second line was two thin man standing near the edge of th top og mountain.One was picking up the yellow stick which the only thing bright under the dark cloud.Edward sure that they was Mort and Jordan.Next to the two lines of men was Another two men who Edward immediately realize,that was Jack and his brother being kept by two men.
The ground was sudden broken.Some thing stuck out of the house-that certainly was a head but that is not really a head-like a brick head.After that,more and more head stuck out.Edward pushed one man at the first line made him fall down.His upper body pushed two men at the second line.The one who was picking the stick fell down at the edge of the mountain.He used his hands to keep himself from falling.The Golden Stick fell down from th top of mountain to the bottom.Edward was sure that the stick had been broken because the heads of the brick people sank,the ground went back to its original shape,not just the ground the cloud was white.
There came a voice,”Jordan,help me.”
Jordan said in the cold voice,”Hhaahha,I tried to make friend with you just because I want to control the brick army,now the Golden Stick is broken.You’re useless.”
Then,Jordan picked up his leg,ready to kick the Mort.Mort’s hands grabbed Jordan’s leg.A sudden pull from Mort made Jordan fell down from the top of mountain.
Jack and his brother sudden swung their hand and escaped from Mort’s servants’s hands.
Edward said loudly,”I knew you do all the bad thing because of Jordan.Now they are dead.You can make a new life.”
Then they left.Edward drove Jack and his brother home.
“So,what can you do now,I heard that Jordan had bought your Time and Time Newspaper where you working.”
“I don’t know,”
“Or we three will open a shop ?”
“Sound good,”

The shop they had opened the next day.It was a secessful idea.
